Module 6: Digital Storytelling

Many believe that we are now in the media age and no longer in the information age. Multimedia communications is a part of everyday life and its appearance in computer applications is increasing infrequency and diversity. More than ever before, video, sound, text and motion graphics are essential to the 21st century classroom for instruction, artwork and digital storytelling.

Multimedia always involves communication; therefore, every communication project - be it a flyer, billboard, website, educational CD-ROM, video clip or magazine - is the result of a wonderful fusion of social craftsmanship, multimedia tools and technology. For the 21st centure, one cannot imagine communication without multimedia.

Today’s multimedia technology tools are used more than ever for creating, communicating, connecting and collaborating. Video, sound, text and motion graphics are essential to utilizing multimedia tools in the 21st century classroom.


How has this Module helped you to now be able to use telecommunications and other media to collaborate, communicate revenant information and ideas effectively to parents, peers, the community and the students?
